Today I looked back at my life and realized something.
“Never give up!”
I always thought this was cringe.
A meaningless motto from a cheap self-help book - or from yet another manual on “how to become a millionaire” written by someone who became a millionaire by accident.
There is also plenty of counter advice about how beneficial it might be to give up at some point, cut your losses, and start fresh. In life and in business.
And I’ve always thought this was reasonable.
But looking back at my life, I now see that I probably gave up too much.
Not right away. Not without a reason. But still.
I think had I pushed forward, I would have been in a different place by now. Maybe not where I wanted to be but much farther than I am.
And it dawned on me that you basically can’t lose if you don’t give up.
That’s the underlying beauty of it all.
If you never give up and always keep fighting, the fight never ends - until it’s a win.
No end - no losing.
So from now on, I’m following the advice from the bookshelf with cheap self-help. I am never giving up.
And I don’t care if it’s cheesy.
It’s also very practical, isn’t it?
